Wednesday of reflexion... I heard a story from Milenium FM (a radio from Argentina) that I found cute, so I will rewrite with my words, my memories, and my mistakes, the tale. Enjoy.
The Three Old Men
The tale begin with a seat on the park, where were sitting three old men. They looked tired, and the only thing that they were doing was to look the sunset far away, without moving from the place.
It turns out that a woman was passing by, and saw them. In a moment of compasion, she invites them to dinner at her house, which was just to a few meters away. However, the elders asked her to consult to her husband if he was agreed. The girl nodded, went home and talked with her husband, who accepted to invite the old men to dinner.
Then she go back to the seat outside and told to the elders the good news. However, one of them spoke, saying:
-"Behold, three elders are, but you can only invite one of us." -she looked at them quizzically, while the old man continued- "I'm Abundance. He is Success, and he is Love. Choose whom to invite."
Confused, the woman went home and told her husband about what had happened.
-"Invite Abundance." -he said- "And there will be abundance at home."
-"No, it is better to invite Success and we'll have succeed in what we do in our house."- replied his wife.
And they began to argue over which of the two was better to invite home. Until marriage's little daughter gets closer, and while she was listening to the conversation, came over and interrupted them, arguing -"Why don't you invite Love? So there will be love in our house."
The parents looked at each other, and they were agreed to follow the advice of their daughter.
So the woman went out again, and again met with the three old men sitting at the park, and said:
-"We have decided to invite Love to dinner at home. We apologize to the others."
Immediately the old man named Love got up, and started to walk toward the house. Then, the other two elders stood and began to follow him. The woman, stunned, asked what was happening, and one of the elders answered:
"If you had invited me, Success, my pairs would have gone. In the same way, if you had invited Abundance, Love and I would have gone. But since you invited Love, you invited the rest of us, because Success and Abundance always go after Love to everywhere."
