Moving Anki deck into Obenkyo

Hello there,
it's been a while (3 years omg) since my last entry, so I hope you have had a great time during the break :P.
Anyways, let's go on with the topic of this entry. Since I am studying a bit of Japanese in my free time, I stumbled upon an Android app called Obenkyo in my search for that "magic app that will teach me magically everything I need to know".
Well, the app is quite good. But, since I am a former Anki user, I thought about a way to import my custom deck into Obenkyo, because I am using the Japanese Level Up RTK Mod Anki Deck (based in Remember the Kanji, awesome book by the way).
And to my pleasant surprise, there's a method, which worked nicely for me.

Grooveshark And Discovering New Songs

Well, long time has been passed since I wrote the last entry, and I attribute that to the lack of time and will (because I have several entries in the pipeline). But hey, today is the day (?), to make a quick post, we're going to talk about this thing that I "discovered" recently.
Basically, the idea is to use Grooveshark to create a playlist from a theme based in a single song that you really like (fiuush!). Of course, when we talk about Grooveshark, we are talking about music in the cloud, something that today is somewhat common (less common is to have music offline in your harddisk, if you know what I mean). The procedure is simple, you search for a song you really like, add it and play it.
Finally (oh, how much effort already!), you click on the button labeled "RADIO OFF" (it'll switch to "RADIO ON").
Maybe you'll need to add some more songs, because only one can't define your song recommendation. But usually one is enough.
That's all. Are you ready to enjoy new good songs that maybe you didn't know their existence? (and perhaps, incidentally, discover new artists).
If your answer is no: Okay :(. Otherwise, go for it!
This entry is not sponsored by Grooveshark (sadly, for me :v).
Musical greetings!

A Wild Artist Appears: Lindsey Stirling

This new entry is dedicated to an artist named Lindsey Stirling. She plays the violin, and mix the music with a little bit of electronica. It's really cool.
I discovered her through a friend (emiok :P). He told me about her after seeing this amazing video of the archer who shoots with his feet (yes, nothing related, but anyways).
First music-video of her that I watched and really liked:

Another one, just to see more about her:

And how to forget this Zelda's song:

Remember, if you like her, just go to youtube and search for Lindsey Stirling.
Greetings and enjoy nice music :).

Downloading Chromium resources from cache using bash

First entry of 2012.
I'm studying a lot, so I left the blog alone by a few weeks. Well, beyond that, today's entry is a simple bash file (linux users only, perhaps windows with cygwin), to save images that are store at cache of the web browser chromium (or google chrome). Why do you want this? Well, you'll know. I used it to get off multiple images (about 1900 :P) from Varda's tumblr, without much effort (?). Anyway, here it is:

I want to thanks to palhmbs for the ilumination (an for almost all the code :P).
The latest version is on github.
Greetings and have a beautiful beginning of this new year.

In The Top Of The World

Friday! Yeah!
Tonight we're going to a party!!! Well, yes, I'm going out, because today it's a friend's birthday. I'll leave you with this beauty landscape and with a japanse song, singed in english.
Lately Early :: HDR
"Lately early", taken in St. James (Missouri) by Jon.B. Very good one I thought. Now to the video part:

It's seems that Shonen Knife means "Boy Knife", by the way. It's a group from Osaka (Japan), dedicated to the pop-punk genre. "Top of the World" can be the best song of their tribute album "If I were a Carpenter" (honestly I don't hear the entire album, but for the comments).
I wish you a very good and energic weekend!

People are Awesome

I steal the title of one of the videos to put it on the title entry, because it's a very awesome quote. Two quick videos, just to feel good. I don't know, but works for me.

If you kept wanting more, look related. Indeed, the second video was the one who made me discover the Gorillaz's song Melancholy Hill.
Awesome greetings.
